Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy works on the principle that the unconscious mind contains a storehouse of wisdom comprised of both personal and collective experiences that can help us to resolve life’s problems. Just as the body “knows” how to balance and heal itself without conscious effort, the mind moves unconsciously toward its natural state of balance and growth.

Hypnosis works on the simple principle that each of us falls naturally into trance-states at various times throughout the day. Whether we are daydreaming, or involved in the creative process, we are “entranced.” Hypnosis utilizes the mind’s ability to enter into trance-states, and brings the mind’s healing forces to bear on finding solutions to life’s challenges.

Hypnosis has been shown to be effective in helping clients overcome a range of problems, from low self-esteem to anxiety. Clients also find the experience of hypnosis deeply relaxing. As an adjunct to traditional talk therapy hypnotherapy can be offered as an effective tool in helping to mobilize change.
